The Liebster Award – My First Nomination

Liebster Award (1)

My First Liebster Award Nomination

Hello! More news on the AngelSpartaness Lifestyle blog! I’ve been nominated for my first ever Liebster Award by my friend, the sweet and lovely Laura over at Lauzie’s Lifestyle. She is a fantastic writer with amazing, entertaining content, and she’s just an all-around inspiration. You should definitely check her out, as well as her beautiful Instagram, which I am thoroughly enjoying.

Anyways, as per the rules of this award, (listed at the bottom), I’ve been given some questions to answer. Like I mention in my About page, you have to read my posts to steadily unlock little bits of info about moi, so here’s your chance to learn a few new fun facts about me! Enjoy!

  1. What is your favourite memory/memories from school?

A: I actually did not enjoy school so much, especially not high school. But I guess, overall I’d have to say that I don’t have one single favorite memory. All my good memories are my favorites: The groups of friends I made, the extracurricular activities I participated in, the awards I won in said extracurriculars. Oh, and graduating. The experience itself wasn’t that great but I was happy to finally be done with school.

2. When did you last feel free? (no worries, stress, panic etc)

A: I can honestly not remember the last time I felt truly free! It was probably some time when I was very young. But in recent years, I guess the last time I felt worry free was maybe 2 or 3 years ago. Everything wasn’t perfect, far from it, but that was when I had increased my confidence and I was happy and content with my life for a (very) short time. I’m a constant ball of worry, stress, and anxiety so this question is hard.

3. Which celebrity has the best hair?

A: It’s tough because so many celebrities just have perfect hair. I really don’t know how to answer this one honestly. I guess the Kardashians? Lol

4. A designer wardrobe or a 5 star holiday?

A: That’s easy. Definitely a designer wardrobe, especially if it comes with shoes, bags, and accessories 😉

5. Is there anything you don’t like about blogging?

A: I actually love, love, love everything about blogging. From the writing to the engaging to the community, I wish I had started blogging sooner. The only things I dislike (hate) about blogging is the writer’s block and the frustration with certain things (such as when you can’t get something to look or fit just right and you have to keep trying over and over again for hours… that can be frustrating). But it’s an amazing feeling when you get everything to work out right and look just how you want it.

6. If you could be a child again for a day, what would you do?

A: Probably just play outside. To run around and get all dirty and not care. That is what it truly means to be free, and we kinda lose that when we grow up and become adults. That’s why I like taking walks and exercising outside…it brings back some of those old feelings of being a kid and playing in the sun and the grass. So that’s what I’d spend the day doing…And then in the evening I’d go home and play video games all night, like I used to when I was a kid. Playstation 2 and GameCube and stuff like that.

7. What was your favourite thing at the park? (swings, see-saw, roundabout etc)

A: Swings, hands down. Although, I did also love running around and climbing all over the jungle gym and stuff. I felt like super cool just jumping around and climbing and stuff. Slides are awesome, too.

8. What do you hope to accomplish by this time next year?

A: Realistically, I’m hoping to have a popular and successful blog and Instagram page, as well as the first 2 of my book series completed and published and… hm… lose 60 lbs. Lol

9. Do opposites attract or do you prefer someone similar?

A: As for romantic interests/boyfriends, I need someone who has some similar interests but also leads his own life and has his own separate interests. My current boyfriend fits that bill pretty well. For example, we enjoy a lot of the same movies and t.v. shows, but we also have some that we watch alone. Same thing with video games, Youtube, etc.. I have my own things that I do, like writing and yoga, and he listens to podcasts, which I currently don’t. I think a good balance is so important. As for friends, we definitely need to have a lot of things in common, but not everything, of course.

10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

A: I want to have homes in both California and Japan, and eventually I hope to split my time between the two, living in both. I may also want a home in New York but I hate people and crowds so mayyybe not.

11. What’s the best clothes store on the highstreet?

A: My favorite places to get clothes from are T.J. Maxx, Asos, and 1015store. I love T.J. Maxx because it allows a broke girl like me to get really quality, designer or name brand clothing for super cheap. I love Asos because of the sheer amount of amazing stuff they have for sale! Asos is just my aesthetic. And the 1015store is super fantastic, because you can find really unique, out-there styles that you pretty much can’t find anywhere else. Lots of jumpsuits which are kinda my thing.

Next up, I am supposed to nominate between 5 and 11 bloggers who I feel deserve this award. I chose 5, to keep it short and simple. Of course, they are under no obligation to accept, but these are the 5 bloggers that I feel truly deserve this nomination for this award.

Here are the 5 bloggers I am nominating for this award:

1. Azra–Simple Serenity

She informed me that she already did one of these, and therefore won’t do a post for this one. But I still want to nominate her, because the rules say that I nominate who I feel deserves it, and I feel like she definitely does! Her blog is pretty and simple in the best and most welcoming of ways. It’s full of bright, beautiful content that fully encompasses beauty, fashion, and lifestyle. I also enjoy her Instagram!

2. Karen DV – Be Unique

Karen’s entertaining, light-hearted writing style is as fun to skim through as a fashion mag! I love that she talks about everything from sheet masks to rose gold beauty items (just a couple of my favorite things, as it so happens!) She has a lot of great content, and pretty much anyone can find something amazing and interesting to read in her blog as well as her Instagram.

3. Monte Parker – Healthy Life Perspectives

This girl’s blog immediately greets you with words and images of peace and happiness. She talks about how to improve happiness in life, and she posts healthy recipes, so I can definitely get on board! Plus, there’s a sprinkling of fitspo, too, for some inspiration. And her Instagram has amazing noms featured on it, which is always enjoyable to see.

4. Krissy – The Zinful Blonde

She likes coffee and wine, so this is my kinda blog right off the bat. Simple and elegant, you should definitely check it out sometime. Plus there’s quite a few interesting fitness posts, too.

5. Megan – Meg Kem Magic

This was one of the first blogs I ever happened across, and I’m glad I did. Insightful and intelligent, she has a lot of beauty content, but none of it is just surface level stuff. Way worth the read and beautifully written.

And now, here are my questions for my nominees.

The questions for my nominees:

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. What do you like/dislike the most about blogging?
  3. If you could travel anywhere in the world for vacation, where would you go?
  4. What top 3 beauty/hygiene products can you not live without?
  5. What one book would you always recommend someone to read?
  6. What are a few of your favorite hobbies or downtime activities?
  7. What’s an interesting fact someone would be surprised to learn about you?
  8. What is your favorite color and why?
  9. What are 3 of your top goals for life? (Ex: a big family, your own company, etc.)
  10. Where do you hope to be in life and work by this time next year?
  11. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

And now, my nominees, here are the rules:

  1. Thank blogger(s) who nominated you
  2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you
  3. Nominate at least 5 bloggers but no more than 11 who deserve the award
  4. Tell those bloggers you nominated them
  5. Create 11 original questions for the nominees to answer

That’s it for now! Hope you enjoyed and I hope all of my nominees are happy with their nominations! Thank you to all! Sig H icon

Thank you so much, Kali! I appreciate your kind words ❤ And I know, two books in a year is a lot, I normally would not think I could achieve that goal. But I have been working on these books on and off for over 12 years heehee 🙂 I have archives of notes and chapters stored away, and I've always known pretty much word for word how the books are gonna go. So now that I'm focusing solely on my writing career, it's more of a piecing together the puzzle thing than actually writing heehee 🙂

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am really glad that I managed to track down your blog (after wordpress told me you had deleted it). You writing is articulate and interesting – I have enjoyed every blog post that I have read of yours.
Thank you for taking part as well. I love your answers. Writers block is so frustrating. Jotting down random thoughts and ideas helps, but I wish I had the perfect article plan always set up in my head. Swings are my favourite too and I was not the biggest fan of school. I like asking questions that make you think about childhood though. And it’s crazy that I also can’t remember the last time that I felt worry free. It makes me want to have a reality check. xx

You are too, too kind, Laura! Thank you so much 🙂 You really helped show me how fun engaging with the blogging community can be, so thank you 🙂 And no problem for taking part, it was so fun! Thanks again for the nomination!

Writer’s block is the worst, one method I’ve been using to tackle it is to try and calm down first, then read through some of the stuff I’ve written in the past. It usually motivates me/helps me to push past writer’s block. We have so many cute little things in common! ❤ And definitely, when you can't even remember the last time you felt truly at peace, I think it's high time for a reality check, and some changes! We can both work on it 🙂

Your writer’s block fix is a good idea. It’s amazing how many things you can have in common with people, that without the blogging/social media, you wouldn’t know about.
I’m glad I showed how fun engagement is. Thank you again for answering my questions. xx

Absolutely! Thanks for giving such fun questions to answer 🙂 And you’re so right, that’s one of the positives of this social media age. Bonding with great people you would’ve never otherwise met ❤

No problem for the nomination, your work is awesome and you definitely deserve it 🙂

And yes I am writing a book series! I’m thinking 4 books, I’m working on the 1st one but it should be done by mid to late summer. They are young adult fantasy fiction novels that’ll probably be around 600-2000 pages each (so a pretty decent length).

I’m pretty secretive about my work but I will definitely announce when the first is available and a little beforehand I’ll probably post summaries and sneak peeks but until then I keep it pretty hush-hush, lol 🙂 Not even my boyfriend really knows a whole lot! Thanks for asking though, lovely 🙂
